FAQ for Towel Warmer and Towel Cooler (HOTCABI, COOLCABI)

The power does not turn on.
Check if the power plug is properly inserted into the power outlet.
Check if the power switch has been turned OFF.
It takes a long time to heat towels.
Check if the product contains too many towels. Towels will heat quicker if fewer are put in HOTCABI at one time. The time required to heat towels varies according to the season, ambient temperature, and water temperature. In winter, it usually takes longer to heat towels. Using hot water to dampen towels can shorten the time required to heat them.
Towels become discolored in HOTCABI.
Check if towels being kept in the product for too long. When towels are left in the product for a long time, they may dry out and become discolored. Remove towels that were put in earlier to prevent them from staying in the product for too long. ⇒Make sure to thoroughly rinse off detergents after washing towels. Another potential cause is insufficient rinsing. When components of a detergent remain on towels, it may cause discoloration.
Towels smell.
Check if the inside of the cabinet is clean.
Do not keep towels inside for more than one day.
After use, wipe off any excess water in HOTCABI and dry it. If something besides towels such as food is kept in the product, its odor may linger and be absorbed by the towels.
Towels dry out.
Do not keep towels in HOTCABI for more than one day. When towels are kept in HOTCABI for a long time, they may dry out or become discolored. In order to prevent towels from drying out, put towels in sealed “heat-resistant” (120?C min) plastic bags if possible.
HOTCABI cannot hold the number of towels shown in a
catalog photo or described in specifications.
Check the size and thickness of your towels. The maximum number of towels listed in catalogs is calculated assuming that each side of a towel is approximately 25 cm (10 inch). If towels are thick, large, or rolled in a specific way, HOTCABI may not be able to hold the number of towels shown in catalogs or listed in specifications.
The door becomes cracked.
Do not apply essential oils, lotions, or any other fats or oils on towels or the product. Avoid touching HOTCABI if your hands are soiled with such materials. Resin parts such as the door have a low resistance to fats and oils. Contact with materials like these degrades parts made from resin.
Towels are not cooled properly (CC-8)
Check if COOLCABI contains too many towels. Towels will become cool quicker if fewer are put in it at one time. The time required to cool towels varies according to the season, ambient temperature, and water temperature. In summer or when the surrounding temperature is high, it usually takes longer to cool towels. Check if there is dust or debris on the radiating fan or filter. Poor air intake/discharge hinders the product’s cooling performance. Clean the radiating fan and filter as often as possible.

FAQ for the Sake Warmer Dispenser

The power does not turn on.
Check if the power plug is properly inserted into the power outlet.
Check if the power switch has been turned OFF.
Sake becomes discolored in the product.
Check if the warmer dispenser has been cleaned on a regular basis.
Daily cleaning is recommended to keep the product clean. ⇒Check if the warmer dispenser is placed near a hot water thermos pot or other heat generating equipment, for example. Sake may become muddy when the ambient temperature is high.
Sake is not heated or lukewarm sake is dispensed.
Check if the power of the warmer dispenser has been turned ON.
[Indirect heating type: TSK-130A/B series, Ti-1/Ti-2]:
Check if water/hot water has been poured in for boiling Check if the heating temperature is set to the desired level.
Check if sake has been continuously dispensed over the product’s capacity.
TSK-130A/B series:
Approximately 10 bottles worth can be continuously dispensed for one gou (unit to measure sake, 0.18 L) and 5 bottles worth for two gou(0.36L) -Standby of about 5 to 6 minutes before next use.
Ti-1/Ti-2:
Approximately 6 bottles worth can be continuously dispensed for one gou and 2 to 3 bottles worth for two gous. -Standby of about 2 to 3 minutes before next use.

Check if the ambient temperature is too cold. Using the product in a cold temperature influences the temperature of sake.
Sake is not dispensed properly or it is dispensed in small amounts.
Check if the tip of the nozzle contacts the surface of the sake.
Adjust the height of the sake bottle stand so that the tip of the nozzle contacts the surface of the sake.
Dispensing will take longer when you want to heat sake to a higher temperature. (Indirect heating type such as TSK-130A/B series: about 13 to 18 sec., and Ti-1/Ti-2: about 20 to 25 sec.)
Sake does not stop coming out.
Check if the height of the sake bottle stand has been adjusted.
Make an adjustment so that the tip of the nozzle contacts the sake level.
Check if the sensor electrode on the tip of the nozzle is dirty.
If it is, clean it according to the instruction manual.
Sake drips from the nozzle.
Outlet of the nozzle may be clogged.
Clean it according to the instruction and cleaning manuals. If cleaning does not make any difference, the nozzle may have deteriorated or the solenoid valve is clogged with sake
lees or foreign matter such as hair. In this case, contact your agency or TAIJI.
CAUTION
Most sake warmer dispenser problems are caused by insufficient daily cleaning. Please clean the product as instructed on a regular basis referring to the instruction and cleaning manuals.
